"The outside of the Hotel Abbey was very disappointing looking rather very unwelcoming. But when we finally got into our rooms it was a very different matter. Each of the three rooms we booked were very clean and spacious with every facility you may require, from satellite tv to tea/coffee facilities hair dryer and trouser press, very clean bathroom. the staff were very helpful, booking taxis for us was not a problem, the receptionist also booked us into the dog racing, nothing was too much trouble. The bar was very reasonable priced, a lot cheaper than any other pub/bar within the City centre. i would not hesitate in using the Abbey hotel again.
