Completely refurbished in 2007, the Academy offers superb value for money in a prime location just off O'Connell Street. "I would expect to pay much more for accommodation of this quality" is typical of the comments received from our guests.

"Excellent location for the City, excellent facilities/cleanliness/food. Night club outside quite noisy, (not fault of hotel, double glazing did stop majority), although there was loud music 'piped' into room through ventilation system? Not sure if this coming from night club and travelling through ventilation system; or originating within hotel and travelling through vents?

"Although the outside of the Academy hotel was still under reconstruction we were delighted by the comfort, modern conveniences of our brand new room. The bed was the most comfortable we had slept in during our six week trip in Europe. Owning our own Bed & Breakfast in Hawaii made us appreciate this oasis in the heart of Dublin. The staff were warm and most helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious.

"The room was very nice, the bathroom floor could have been cleaner. The breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly but was disappointed as hardly any of them seemed to be Irish. It will be a very nice Hotel when they have finished all the building work although this did not affect us in anyway."
