Completely refurbished in 2007, the Academy offers superb value for money in a prime location just off O'Connell Street. "I would expect to pay much more for accommodation of this quality" is typical of the comments received from our guests.

"Excellent value for money. Rooms were well equipped and breakfast was great."

"Central location within easy reach of main bus routes and taxi rank. Close to Henry Street for shopping and 5/10 minutes walk from Temple Bar. Hotel bar has a good atmosphere with music on a Friday night. Although it is located just off O'Connell Street it is quiet, I would recommend the Academy to anyone, especially if like us, on a short break in Dublin for the first time.
"Booking via the internet was really easy, once you have chosen a hotel from extensive list available."

"The room was a good size, stocked with our essentials: kettle, iron, hair-dryer. Some of the corners could do with replastering, but the room was reasonably clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff were very busy, meaning we had to wait for coffee, and the buffet breakfast was adequate in quantity but merely average in quality. The location was excellent, especially for the price."

"Credit is due to the young woman on the reception desk whose polite manner, efficiency and multi-tasking talent (particularly during a busy morning rush) were admirable and impressive. We were also very impressed by the personalised TV welcome... Aw, nice touch, thanks guys!"

"Room was very nice, and brightly lit. Restaurant w/breakfast included was nice. with parking under the Academy hotel--it was a bit of a challenge to get in and out of the garage!"

"Well situated for central Dublin. Convenient to shops and only a short walk to Temple Bar. Parking is limited, as we had a hire car. 2 nights we got a hotel car space other night had to use and pay for multi park space.

"After initially having difficulty finding hotel as road it is in is not on map, realised it is ideally located. The receptionist could perhaps have been a little more welcoming, that's not to say that she wasn't efficient she just could have smiled!"
