Completely refurbished in 2007, the Academy offers superb value for money in a prime location just off O'Connell Street. "I would expect to pay much more for accommodation of this quality" is typical of the comments received from our guests.

"The Academy hotel was very good for what I was looking for. The location was great, the rooms were very nice, clean and new. The value for money was great. The only feeling of disappointment I had was the service of some of the staff. Most were excellent, well mannered and professional, however I felt the foreign members were unsure of etiquette. For instance answering telephones while dealing with me at the reception. Having said that it did not deter from my enjoyment of my trip.
"I felt the online booking service was very easy to use. However I booked a triple room online which stated it came with a double bed, single bed and a pull out bed. On arrival I found there was no pull out bed and needed to ask for one. And when it arrived it was just a mattress on the floor. It was not a problem with the group we had, however if it had been an older group or family it may not have been acceptable."

"The accommodation, and location was very central and a perfect place to see Dublin as the Dublin City Tour bus starts just outside the front door .The Food was excellent and plenty of it .The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in every way even when we had a problem with the heating a Manager came to us immediately and sorted it out. "Even though they are in the middle of refurbishment, we had a very comfortable two night stay. The breakfast was excellent with a choice to appeal to even my fussy teenage daughter. We did not know Dublin at all but found the Academy hotel was well placed for looking around, being situated just off O'Connell Street. Would recommend it and would stay there again.

"Really friendly helpful staff, on our departure date the taxi drivers of Dublin were on strike, we were very worried about missing our early flight. The receptionist managed to get her off duty taxi driver friend to take us to the airport. What service!! well done.
