Fax: 4060222 As the reviews here show, the Ashling Hotel has benefitted hugely from the opening of the LUAS tram line in 2004, as well as from its takeover by the Best Western Group. Although well located for Heuston Station (the main train station for the West and South) and the Phoenix Park, the 20-25 minute walk along the quays to O'Connell Street can be too far for some. Today however, its a 5 minute tram ride, with trams passing the door every three minutes. The friendly atmosphere and staff make the Ashling popular with groups, families and business travellers alike. Ashling Hotel Customer Reviews
"We had a very pleasant stay in the hotel, the staff were helpful and the food delicious. The hotel decor is a bit dated but everything was clean and fresh. We took advantage of the Airlink bus direct from the airport to Housten station just across the road from the hotel. A great saving. We would certainly use this hotel again. "The hotel was lovely with helpful and pleasant staff. Location was fantastic but some other guests were quite noisy during the night banging on doors and shouting which took from the stay a little. The food was very good although breakfast was not included. There was also very few toiletries i.e. shampoo, bath oils etc available for guests. Generally it was an excellent hotel in a fantastic location. "The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, the bar and restaurant were very nice and relaxing. "Room a little on the dark side " "It was a bit noisy and dusty around reception area as there was some work been carried out but the staff were trying their best to keep it to a minimum, " "The part of the hotel we stayed in appears to have been recently re-furbished and was in excellent condition, and in a quiet location. The location was very good for exploring the town, with all public transport links at Heuston Station, 150 mts away. The restaurant food was high quality as were the friendly and attentive restaurant staff. Negatives: It would be nice if the reception staff smiled and said `hello` more often. The TV reception in the room was very poor, only 3 stations, but we didn't spend much time there. Kippers to order on the breakfast menu would be nice. "Have stayed here 3 times and cannot fault it. Service, accommodation, staff, food all very good.
