As the reviews here show, the Ashling Hotel has benefitted hugely from the opening of the LUAS tram line in 2004, as well as from its takeover by the Best Western Group. Although well located for Heuston Station (the main train station for the West and South) and the Phoenix Park, the 20-25 minute walk along the quays to O'Connell Street can be too far for some. Today however, its a 5 minute tram ride, with trams passing the door every three minutes.

The friendly atmosphere and staff make the Ashling popular with groups, families and business travellers alike.

"Overall well up to our expectations with first class and friendly service . Standard of Rooms high. Only problems was some road repair works noise on night of Friday 10th and Disco Noise on night of Sat 11th(did not know if it was in the Hotel or outside)Also we thought that the plates provided at Break fast were too small.
