Arlington Hotel: The Arlington Hotel is one of Dublin's most centrally located hotels, overlooking the River Liffey and right in the heart of Dublin City. Close to Temple Bar, tourist attractions, and the shopping districts, its nightly cabaret show is a major attraction in itself. Its sister hotel, the Arlington Temple Bar (formerly the Parliament Hotel) lies at the other end (and the other side) of Temple Bar. It too provides regular musical entertainment for its guests. Since the Temple Bar area is the centre of Dublin's nightlife, many of the cheaper hotels contain popular bars or nightspots downstairs. A good example is the Dublin Citi Hotel, situated on Dame Street over a lively and busy trendy pub. The Bridge House is a guesthouse in Temple Bar. Good accommodation in a great location. There’s no lift but we’ve had many a satisfied guest. Slap bang in Temple Bar! Hardings Hotel hosts 53 attractive bedrooms catering for both the business and leisure traveller. Darkey Kelly's Bar & Restaurant offers an exciting range of food and entertainment. The Eliza Lodge, one of Dublin's newest guest houses, faces Dublin's millennium bridge, and is adjacent to the heart of fashionable Temple Bar with its huge range of bars, restaurants and clubs. Eliza Lodge offers guests attention to detail and personal service to match. Named after the famous classical composer, the George Frederic Handel lives up to its name, as the hotel itself is as fine as the music composed by the great man. The hotel offers modern deluxe accommodation, and is home to a fantastic cosmopolitan café bar and an excellent restaurant which dishes up a wide variety of Irish and European dishes. Just across the River Liffey, the Hotel Abbey is a hop skip and a jump of away from Temple Bar and benefits from being very close to some good shopping (Henry Street). Its a great 2 star hotel located over a bar. There is a good choice of bars nearby (check out South Lotts Bar and the Gin Palace). Two fine hotels in the surrounding area are the Central Hotel, an old-world traditional hotel close to Grafton Street as well as Temple Bar, and the nearby Drury Court Hotel, a small boutique-style hotel near St Stephens green. Both offer very competitive rates for their class and are well suited to the business or leisure traveler. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
