"Ideal if going to the Point theatre, area around hotel can be rough at night with people sleeping out, would not be the safest. Dust in our ensuite, basic room small for 3 people, used to be what you would be given for one person a few years ago.

"Tourist level hotel - good value for the money. Staff were a notch above hotel class - very accommodating. Road noise could be bad for light sleepers but will be eliminated when tunnel is finished.

"The only problem was proximity to the docks with container trucks making a lot of noise crossing the various metal bridges along the quays but that's just one of those things. Otherwise the room, food, drink and staff were fine.

"We really enjoyed our stay, but the check in was a bit late. We couldn't check in until after 2pm which is a bit inconvenient after an early flight when we would have liked to freshen up. The staff were efficient, but a bit austere-not much 'Irish charm' in evidence."
