North City Hotels- The North Quays
The Aston Hotel is a 2* hotel but we think its worthy of more than that. This is a fine hotel in a great location, right overlooking the River Liffey and on the edge of Temple Bar.
The ever popular Ashling Hotel (See Map Ref 1) is located on the quays overlooking the Liffey about 15 mins walk to O’Connell St. But now with the new tram (LUAS) it’s a five minute train ride away. It’s a good standard 3 star hotel, with cosy bar and restaurant and Phoenix Park (one of the world’s biggest parks) is nearby. The Ashling gets great reviews from our past customers and has FREE parking.
The Park Inn Hotel is situated in Dublin’s new cultural quarter, Smithfield and just 10 mins walk or 2 min tram ride from Dublin City Centre and train Station. The Park Hotel achieves the perfect marriage of traditional and modern Ireland. It has been carefully designed to reflect a distinctive vision of hotel accommodation in Dublin.
Just across the road in Smithfield is one Dublin’s newest hotels – Comfort Inn Smithfield (See Map Ref 2) which has to worth considering as it is a good modern 3 star with all the creature comforts. Again access to tram hastens your travel time to O’Connell Street.
Further upriver on the quays you can experience the unique blend of oriental calm and luxury that is the Morrison Hotel (See Map Ref 3). Designed by Douglas Wallace and award-winning couturier John Rocha, the Morrison has 84 of the most stylish and comfortable rooms in the city, close to Temple Bar and the city centre. Very trendy bar, chic restaurant and nightclub. Go see and be seen !
Although not on the quays but one street behind is the Hotel Abbey ( See Map Ref 4). Its less than one minute's stroll from bustling O'Connell Street the boasts a high standard of accommodation which is complemented by professional friendly staff, and excellent attention to detail. It’s a 2 star hotel, over a bar and just 1 minute to shopping and 2 mins to Temple Bar just over the Halfpenny Bridge. Some good trendy bars nearby check out South Lotts, the Gin Place and Pravda.
Just off the quays on Middle Abbey Street is the centrally located Hotel Capri. Guests receive an exceptional warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is located in two renovated Georgian houses and is an ideal base for exploring the culture and heritage of Dublin's Fair City.
The Arlington Hotel is the ideal base from which to enjoy and explore this vibrant city. It has the perfect location, right on the River Liffey near to corner of O'Connell Street Bridge. Lively bar with Irish dancing and good spacious rooms.
