Overlooking Trinity College, the hotel's bar serves a good carvery lunch, and food and drink is available throughout the day. The Victorian style bar is adorned with pictures of famous Irish politicians - not surprising considering the hotel's close proximity to government buildings. The surroundings are comfortable and the food is extremely affordably priced.

In the evenings the bar is a popular venue for traditional and Irish folk acts, invluding some of Irleand's top artists such as Freddie White, John Spillane and Mick Hanly.

Location

The hotel, which is situated on the corner of Kildare Street and Nassau Street in the heart of Georgian Dublin, is located just as short stroll from Grafton Street, the National Gallery, the Natural History Museum, Government Buildings, and many other attractions besides. The Gaiety & Olymipa Theatres, fashionable Temple Bar and O'Connell Street, Dublin's main street, are all located no more then five to ten minutes stroll from the hotel.
