As one of Dublin's finest modern hotels, complaints at The Fitzwilliam are few and far between, as the many positive reviews below show. Guests regularly rave about the prime location, first class service and superb food. In the past, noise from the building of the LUAS line caused some disturbance, but the now completed line places guests just a twenty-five minute tram journey away from Ireland's largest shopping centre in Dundrum.

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Cental loaction was perfect for a city break. We were within walkiong distance of lots of shops,restaurants and theatres. The parking facility was excellent too but we did not find it easily and ended up in the wrong car park!

"Although this hotel is a very nice hotel with very comfortable rooms and amenities, I was not at all pleased that the elevator did not go up to the floor my room was on. Normally I am a rather easy going traveler, but by the time I arrived in Dublin that Thursday I was exausted after a long a busy week. I just wanted to meet my client for dinner and crawl into bed after. I also could not take care of my luggage as I normally do because of this. The stair situation was a hassel I was not pleased about especially given how expensive the room was.

The location could not be better, the staff was friendly and efficient and the rooms were fantastic. The breakfast was wonderful by American or European standards. Please feel free to use our name as we would not only recommend this hotel but would look forward to another visit ourselves. We did not find even the smallest thing that wasn`t just right. "Only one thing was poor- the breakfast. the service itslef was ok. the food was poor - we had pre-paid for full breakfast . fruit/cerial/ juice / coffee was fine - cooked breakfast was self service - not much of a problem in itself but it was not very warm, bacon was very salty. mushrooms overcooked, sausage not tasty, black and white pudding dried out and fairly tasteless. - scrambled eggs ok but on the cold side. Very dissapointing - and not worth the published price of Â€22 per person extra."
