"First time to Dublin and Loved it ! The city is so prepared to make visitors welcome everything from the buses from the airport to our hotel. Hotel was so handy and in the centre of everything." "We really enjoyed our stay at the Gresham , we only had breakfast , which had a fantastic choice of foods , the staff were very attentive at all times. The christmas tree in the foyer was awesome . Will definitely be looking out for special offers on this hotel again for my next visit , have kept your website address. Thank you. "I can only agree with the comments above --------The Gresham hotel was fabulous in every way I would like to know if there is a better hotel in Dublin as I think it would be very hard to beat ---------- Mary Green "The Gresham had a pleasant atmosphere with very capable staff. The only thing I would have a minor complaint about would be the fact that as a hotel guest I still had to pay for car parking facilities which I believe should have been included in the price of the room. Overall I had a pleasant stay and would definitely return. "Nice central hotel close to all facilities. Deluxe room was extremely comfortable and quiet allowing good night's sleep. Our only niggle was inability to get food on a saturday evening in the bar area - food finishes in the afternoon. "A very enjoyable experience with excellent service and real attention to providing customer satisfaction. Thoroughly recommended." "Very fine accommodation in a convenient location. "Hotel was in a fantastic location. The Gresham facilities were really good. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Not in the hustle and bustle of Temple Bar or Grafton St shopping - but within easy walking distance. Close to all other main attractions. Expected more from the room itself - very small. Excellent view over O'Connell Street but very noisy 24 hours a day - no double glazing! Having said that would definitely go back and stay again. "We enjoyed The Gresham. Had a small problem when we checked in to our room. The bathroom had a bad odour like a leaking pipe from the toilet which we reported to reception. The room was quickly changed and the problem resolved efficiently and without hassle. Location was great, within easy walking distance from everything we were wanting to do. The reception desk looked dreary and boring with absolutely nothing on it or on display behind it even a brochure, complimentary paper, or such like would have helped the look of it. However it was practical and obviously did the job. It was a poor first impression of The Gresham as this is your first point of contact. However we had a great time and in fact have already recommended the place without hesitation to our friends. A warm atmosphere with a buzz about the place but quiet enough to relax and enjoy our stay. "Overall we were 'content' with our stay, but too many negative points meant that we wouldn't recommend it to others. The breakfast reminded us of School dinners. The quality of food was only average, and not representative of the cost at all. We have stayed in cheaper hotels with a lower star rating, and had a better quality of food for a more reasonable price. This was our first meal, and unfortunately we were so unimpressed that it actually put us off trying anything else from the menu, so we ate away from The Gresham the rest of our time. The staff could have been more personable and friendly. I'm sure they all do their jobs very well, and we have no direct complaints but friendly customer service, and 'service with a smile' goes a long way to impress a customer, and this was lacking. Finally, the room we stayed in seemed rather plain and unimpressive - even walking along the corridor and noticing other rooms (which were being cleaned and therefore had the doors open) ours seemed to be decorated differently; from the headboards, to the tiling in the bathrooms, which struck me as very odd indeed. Overall, the location of The Gresham was the best point of our stay. I don't feel as though the experience reflected good value for money at all, and we wouldn't return, instead we would look for Holiday Inn, for better value, better quality of service and food, and sacrifice the location."
